Almost every kid loves fast food.

But a new investigation on the

children's
meals may have families eating at home.
(Sot from) "Practically every meal
aimed at kids is too high in calories,
saturated fat and salt."
The non-profit Center for Science in
the Public Interest found more than
ninety percent of kids meals at 13
chains exceed 430 calories-- that's
about
a third of what kids should eat every
day.
(graphic) Some of the worst
offenders--the chicken crispers kids
meal at
Chili's which packs a whopping 1,020
calories, the Burger King "big kids"
meal
which feeds a very big kid indeed with
910 calories, and the Sonic "Wacky
Pack" grilled cheese meal, which
contains 830 calories.
STANDUP: (Wendy Gillette/New York)
There are some healthy alternatives,
though
they're few and far between. For
example, this kids meal from Subway
contains
a mini sub, apples and juice. All of
this only adds up to --- calories.
The center says customers will make
better choices if chains post calorie
counts--as they're required to in some
cities, including New York.
(Sot from Cathy Nonas/NYC Dept. of
Health) "We need to get people
information
they can use, at the point of

gkittelson@wdbj7.com Ahmad Bradshaw who played High
School Football at Graham in Bluefield
has had a very interesting last 8
months. Bradshaw helped the New York
Giants win a Super Bowl. That earned
him a trip to the White House. Then
he went to Jail for violating terms of
his probation. Bradshaw had a underage
drinking offense at Virginia in
2-thousand and 4, that led to his
dismissal from U-V-A, then a petty
larceny offense in 2-thousand and 6
while at Marshall. These charges
violated his probation from a crime as
a juvenille.
Bradshaw will have to serve
another jail term next summer. He
spoke for the first time about the
situation at Giants Training Camp
today.
