for a carbon monoxide leak after a
woman got sick this evening....

figure out how and why a man died.

the offices of the Episcopal Diocese of

Neighbors say two homeless men had been


living in the area.


Police collected evidence at the
site, but there's no word yet on the

scout camp in Rockbridge County last


week.

Another 52 people have reported
symptoms.


A total of eight Virginia scouts
have had to be hospitalized.


Health investigators still
haven't released a definitive cause on
where the e-coli came from but on
Monday they said a batch of ground beef
was the likely source.

investigators is officially solved...

released hundreds of pages of documents
from the


investigation into the 2001 anthrax
attacks.


They provide new evidence as to
why an Army defense researcher who
killed himself was the prime suspect.


Today, the U-S government
declared Bruce Ivins the lone culprit
in the anthrax attacks, saying he
created and mailed the spores used to
kill five people.


Ivins committed suicide last week
as federal prosecutors prepared to
present their findings to a grand jury.

Panthers have been picked to finish
second.


Ferrum was picked to behind
Christopher Newport University The
Captains totaled 47 points, including
six of the eight first-place votes.
Ferrum had 40 points with 2 first place
votes.


The Panthers finished 4 and 3
last season in the Conference good
enough for a tie for 3rd.


Ferrum returns a number of
starters including the Offensive Rookie
of the year Mike Vann.


The Panthers open the season at
home on September 6th against Emory &
Henry.

first 24 years of Friday Football
Extra. WE are preparing for the 25th
season starting on August 22nd.


The Christiansburg Blue Demons
will play that first week and do so
with 12 returning starters.


Tim Cromer's club missed on the
playoffs last season after going to the
post-season 4 straight years.


Christiansburg would like to go
back to the playoffs this season, but
the schedule isn't easy, with road
games at Bassett, Patrick Henry, and
Salem. But the Blue Demons feel up to
the challenge.

Tech will hold 3 scrimmages this
pre-season and they will be held in
Lane Stadium.

August 22nd.

This weekend at Watkins Glen


Martin Truex Junior should seem a
little more relaxed and Dale Earnhardt
Incorporated should be breatheing a
huge sigh of relief.


Truex has agreed to a contract
extension with D-E-I that keeps him in
the Number 1 car through 2009.


The 2 sides had a mutal option
for next season but Truex hadn't agreed
to stay on, testing the free agent
market, he is now on board for next
year and a long term deal is being
worked on.


Truex made the Chase for the
Championship a season ago, he is 17th
in the point standings this season with
5 races to go before they make the
cut-off of the 12 Drivers who will race
for the title.
