at Smith Mountain Lake.

There's no word yet on whether
the child is alive or dead.

someone reported a child missing around
2-30 yesterday.

Park officials closed the beach
and began searching for the child.

About 20 people including
lifeguards, Bedford County Sheriff's
deputies and volunteers were assisting

Harless was wading in the
river, went under and never came back

up.

Katrina, after more than a month on the
run.

Tavey into custody yesterday afternoon.

She's now behind bars, facing
kidnapping charges.

Tavey said she took the children on

good health.

She's now behind bars, facing
kidnapping charges.

Park officials closed the beach
and began searching for the child.

fishing Wednesday with a friend near
the railroad trestle over Hazel Hollow

Harless was wading in the
river, went under and never came back
up.

convicted murderer Randall Lee Smith's
death was accidental.

May 9 Smith died in May while being :00 held at the New River Valley Jail.

He was accused of shooting two
people... near the Appalachian Trail in
the Jefferson National Forest.

He wrecked a stolen truck while
leaving the scene of the crime.

The medical examiner determined
Smith died as a result of complications
from injuries in that wreck.

Smith killed two hikers in the
same area in the 1980s.

Scott Johnston and Sean Farmer
survived the May shooting.

Now Johnston is on a mission to
learn more about Smith.

the body found in Roanoke's Old
Southwest neighborhood -- but they
still haven't said how he died.

outbreak at a Rockbridge County Boy
Scout camp.

11 of the 27 confirmed cases at the
Goshen Reservation are linked to a
recall of frozen hamburger products.

The beef came from: California-
based S-and-S Foods.

Meanwhile, the number of sick
children keeps going up.

Now 84 people have reported
symptoms.

Eight children were also
hospitalized.

The Virginia Department of Health
says it is still investigating, because
not all of the cases are related to the
recall.

someone reported a child missing around

was drowning... just that he or she

body found in Roanoke's Old Southwest
neighborhood -- but they still haven't

said how he died.

The body was found outside the
