may never know but the dog owner says
his pet almost died after being groomed
at Petsmart in Christiansburg.
Jeff Dalton is now suing the
store.
He tells News 7 his dog appeared
lifeless, struggled to breathe and spit
up blood when he picked it up from an
appointment in January.
The dog was taken to a
veterinarian and had to have surgery to
survive.
Dalton is seeking 175-thousand
dollars in damages.
A corporate spokesman for
Petsmart said the company does not
comment on pending litigation.

be over before it's finished.
That's the concern from
residents and that's why the Roanoke
Housing Authority has cancelled a
public hearing so they have more time
to think about the situation.

to the early 70s, when the housing
authority was condemning property in
the neighborhood. Now, the agency says
it must terminate the program.
Last week at a community meeting,
residents argued the plan should remain
in place until the neighborhood

shows an unusually strong system
pushing northwest winds our way. The
result is cooler than normal
temperatures for mid August especially
Tuesday morning with mountain lows in
the upper 40s. Chances for showers and
storms are held down by this same
northwest flow. Though the region is in

has been in existence for just over
three years. It's benefited countless
youngsters in that time including 14
year old Parker Davis, a Salem High
School golfer who has qualified for the
First Tee Open at Pebble Beach in a
little more than two weeks.
The tournament includes 78
junior players along with 78 players
from the PGA's Champions Tour.
