sent a 17-year-old male to the
hospital.

Roanoke Police were called to a
home on Barberry Avenue around 6:40
last night where they found the victim.

No arrests have been made.

year ago yesterday when an I-E-D
exploded near his vehicle in
Afghanistan.

resolution renaming the field in
Jesse's honor.

His family tells us it is only

fitting, since he loved to play
football there as a kid.

to near normal values and pump up the
humidity for the weekend. Rain chances
aren't that impressive. We could

front approaches from the west.

<< Good morning, I'm meteorologist Leo toss to Kim Hirsbrunner in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. We're in what's almost like a
fall pattern, with cooler than average
temperatures and low humidity. We'll
begin the transition back to a summer
feel late in the week and the upcoming
weekend. A low pressure system will
move into the Carolinas Wednesday
bringing much-needed rainfall there.
Locally, the best chance of seeing a
shower will be in the southern sections
of Virginia. Even then, amounts will
be limited as most of the rain stays in
North/South Carolina. A second storm
will move into the midwest late this
week pushing a warm front through.
We'll begin to warm temperatures back
to near normal values and pump up the
humidity for the weekend. Rain chances
aren't that impressive. We could

squeeze out a shower Thursday, but
better chances Sunday and Monday as a
front approaches from the west.
WEDNESDAY: Variably cloudy, 20% shower

was killed in Iraq is also being
remembered by friends and family.

Sergeant Kenneth B. Gibson died
Saturday when a bomb exploded.

We now know, Gibson joined the
Army in March 2002 and graduated from
Christiansburg High School in 2001
where he played baseball and football
years earlier.

The group of runners has one
mission, to run one mile for every
American service member killed in
Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Yesterday, runners placed a flag
and sign card in Christiansburg for
Gibson.

The group started their run on
flag day in California and will end at
the Arlington National Cemetery later

Hirsbrunner in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
(SKY1) Center. We're in what's almost like a

fall pattern, with cooler than average
temperatures and low humidity. We'll Leo goes back to desk begin the transition back to a summer
DESK 3-SHOT---ALL feel late in the week and the upcoming
(tease and toss to bump) weekend. A low pressure system will
PSA-Bump move into the Carolinas Wednesday

COMM #-1 bringing much-needed rainfall there.

Locally, the best chance of seeing a
shower will be in the southern sections
of Virginia. Even then, amounts will
be limited as most of the rain stays in
North/South Carolina. A second storm
will move into the midwest late this
week pushing a warm front through.
We'll begin to warm temperatures back
to near normal values and pump up the
humidity for the weekend. Rain chances
aren't that impressive. We could
squeeze out a shower Thursday, but
better chances Sunday and Monday as a
front approaches from the west.

"Cop Camp."

In addition to explosives, kids
are learning about team building and
testing their fears on a high ropes
course.

They're also spending time in the
classroom, getting a lesson on
fingerprinting and evidence collection.

Bedford's Police Department
organized the week-long event.

They're hoping some of these kids
will consider working in law
enforcement.

But there's another lesson too.

hometown hero.

year ago yesterday when an I-E-D
exploded near his vehicle in
Afghanistan.

Jesse's honor.

His family tells us it is only
fitting since he loved to play football

Locally, the best chance of seeing a
shower will be in the southern sections
of Virginia. Even then, amounts will
be limited as most of the rain stays in
North/South Carolina. A second storm
will move into the midwest late this
week pushing a warm front through.
We'll begin to warm temperatures back
to near normal values and pump up the
humidity for the weekend. Rain chances
aren't that impressive. We could
