Good Evening.
This is News 7 at FIVE, I'm Keith Humphry.
The jury refused to accept the proposition that Simpson had committed
murder.
Simpson's son read a statement from his father, declaring his determination
to find the real killers of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
The NOT guilty verdicts mean the end of a year- long drama that captivated
the nation.
It's over... all except the post- verdict analysis--

(( It was a scene hauntingly familiar except this time, the O.J. Simpson inside
was not a distraught murder suspect, but a free man.
Just an hour earlier, a jury delivered the verdict that brought people
across America to their television sets.
VOICE OF DIERDRE ROBERTSON/COURT CLERK: NOT GUILTY OF MURDERING NICOLE.
Not guilty on all counts, a verdict that took the jury less than four hours
to agree upon.
Ron Goldman's father sat stunned, his mother and sister sobbed.
The defendant's daughter Arnelle smiled broadly, while his son Jason wept
uncontrolably.
The jury was released, their identities kept secret by the court.
And as O.J. Simpson drove home to his Rockingham estate, his lawyers and
family took over Judge Ito's courtroom to talk to reporters.
ARNELLE SIMPSON/DEFENDANT'S DAUGHTER
SHIRLEY BAKER/SIMPSON'S SISTER: WANT TO DO A DANCE ON THIS TABLE.
But there'll be no dancing in the Goldman household.

today.
FRED GOLDMAN/VICTIM'S FATHER: THE PROSECUTION DIDN'T LOSE. AMERICA
LOST. THERE WAS NO JUSTICE TODAY.
Meanwhile, O-J Simpson arrived home, to the waiting arms of his old friend
Al Cowlings, the same man who brought him home in the Bronco that night a year
and three months ago, when it seemed like his world was falling apart.))
