Two men are hospitilized in serious condition this morning following a head
on collision in Franklin County yesterday.

Police say the car driven by 49-year old Navie (NAVY) Young was traveling
north bound on Route 919 when it crossed the centerline and struck a pick up
truck head-on.
Authorities say the driver of the truck, Connie Janney of Ferrum, was taken
to Franklin Memorial Hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Young was taken by Lifeguard 10 to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he's
listed in critical condition.

Roanoke police have arrested three juveniles for allegedly shooting out close
to 80 car windows.
Police say the teenagers fired approximately 500 times from a B-B gun and
pellet rifle during their vandalism spree last week.
Vinton Police are also interested in the juveniles.
They say a dozen car windows were shot out in their city during the same
period.
