Police are investigating a fatal accident in Roanoke this morning -- it happened at about one o'clock.
A man leaving work at the National Linen Service on Shenandoah Avenue was killed when he pulled out onto the highway.
Three others were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Police say the victim was driving a Toyota.
Another man, driving a Camaro, hit the Toyota as it pulled out of the parking lot.
The victim was killed instantly. Two passengers in his car and the driver of the Camaro were hurt.
No names have been released. Charges are pending.

Governor Allen has removed a Pesticide Control Board member after the man's appointment was questioned by an environmental group.
The governor took Ralph Smith of Appomattox County off the board yesterday ... five days after Virginia Citizen Action questioned his appointment.
Allen appointed the environmental engineer as a citizen member of the board in July.
Virginia Citizen Action says Smith's appointment violated state law because he's also a certified pesticide applicator.

Police say a six- year- old child was accidentally shot and killed in Halifax County by a relative.
Sheriff Eugene Short says the little girl was shot by her great- grandfather yesterday.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sheriff Short says the incident is under investigation, but does appear to have been an accident.
Police are NOT releasing the family's name.

Senate Democrats say they'll put up a FIGHT when the Republican tax cut package hits the full Finance Committee.
It offers 245-BILLION dollars in tax reductions over seven years -- that's 110-BILLION dollars LESS than the House version.
The Senate plan provides FEWER tax cuts to businesses, and focuses on individual tax benefits for the middle class.
A key element of the plan is a 500-dollar per child tax credit.
It would go to single parents with 75-thousand DOLLARS in annual income, and couples earning 110-thousand dollars.

An accident on Shenandoah Avenue in Roanoke killed a man as he was leaving work at about one o'clock this morning.
Police say the victim was pulling out of National Linen Service when his Toyota was hit by a Camero traveling on the road.
Three others were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hopsital.
The victim was killed instantly.
He was 29 years old.
Two passengers in his car and the driver of the Camero were hurt.
Their conditions are not known.
No names have been released and charges are pending.

Halifax County police are investigating the fatal shooting of a six- year- old child by her great- grandfather yesterday.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sheriff Eugene Short says the incident appears to have been an accident.
Police are NOT releasing the family's name.
