Here in Virginia, the Parole Board is considering delaying the mandatory
release of an inmate.
Braxton Bumpers is accused of using Department of Corrections employees to
run errands and make business deals for him.
The board is considering deferring Bumpers' scheduled release Monday from
the Powhatan Correctional Center to await the results of a state police
investigation.
Under state law -- the board can defer the release date of inmates by up to
six months if it finds that freeing them poses a danger.
Board officials hope to have a decision on Bumper's release today.

travelling north on Route 265.
Twelve- year old Jami Renee Earles and 10- year old James Mark Earles were

condition.
Daniels is also in stable condition.
The driver of the dump truck, Earl Watson Cobbs, was treated at the scene
for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.

Mark Leonard says he will try to change his religious ways.
The conversion of the 29-year-old inmate from Bristol, Tennessee, may be due
to his family's reaction when they read news accounts of his lawsuit and
religion.
Leonard says his mother was NOT aware of his desire to worship the devil,
and his family was upset when they heard about his Satanism.
Leonard is being held on charges of breaking into nine churches and stealing
household appliances, electronics and lawn equipment.
