Henry County authorities are looking for answers in the murder of a Martinsville High School Student.
The body of 15-year old Lavina Scales was found off Route 6-79 in Bassett last night, after a motorist spotted the body in a wooded ravine.
Police say she had been shot.
Scales had been reported as runaway, and was last seen by her family Monday afternoon.

Less than a week after a deadly car accident that took the lives of two grade schoolers, the children's relatives are arrested for blocking the intersection where the collision occurred.
They say it's a dangerous highway that needs improvements.

She met with officials from the Virginia Department of Transportation Wednesday morning.
But when Traffic Engineer R. B. Moore could not promise a bridge over the intersection the family took matters into their own hands.
Using their own vehicles, they blocked the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Route 265.

Some big names in the computer business may be setting up shop in the Richmond area.
The "Richmond Times-Dispatch" reports this morning that Motorola and Siemens A-G of Germany are considering Henrico County as a possible site for a one-point-five billion-dollar computer chip plant.
Citing an un-named source, the paper says the companies are looking at a state-owned site near the Richmond International Airport.
In a joint statement issued yesterday in Munich, the companies announced their partnership in a U-S-based chip plant.
The companies declined to say where the plant would be located.
State and local officials had no comment on any possible link between the announcement and the airport site.
