A gunman fired on 82nd Airborne troops during an early morning run.
A soldier at the base has been arrested.
Another suspect reportedly is being sought.
Military officials have recovered three weapons.

The medical examiner has determined the teenager found dead in the hills of
Henry County Wednesday evening died of MULTIPLE gunshots to the head.
The body of 15-year old Lavina Scales was found on Route 679 by a passing
The examiner says there was NO indication of sexual assault.
Scales was a sophomore at Martinsville High School and counselors are on
campus to help students deal with the tragedy.
Police say they are still looking into several names that were written on a
piece of paper found on Scales' body.
A Tazewell County sheriff's deputy shot and killed a Portsmouth man whom
police say tried to attack deputies with a knife after a standoff.
Deputies found 50 year- old Jimmy Smith near Bluefield yesterday after
Portsmouth police charged him in the slaying of his wife.
Tazewell County Sheriff Joe Johnson says Smith threatened to cut himself
with the knife.
Johnson says he charged at the officers at the end of the 30- minute
Senators on Capital Hill are sorting through amendments to the Republican
balanced-budget plan -- adopting some, rejecting others.
But President Clinton says if it passes it will die on his desk.
The Republican package would balance the budget in seven years, cut 245
billion dollars in taxes and revamp Medicare, Medicaid and other social

But Whitehead says Goode has pledged his vote to him.

Most of the residents of Justice House have been able to find new shelter.
Roanoke Area Ministries has been working with the 19 households.
A few people, mainly single men, are still seeking housing.
But Ministries director Wendy Moore says there is still shelter available.
Roanoke building inspectors condemned the facility on Wednesday and told
everyone they would have to move out as soon as possible, although no specific
time period was given.
Folks in Salisbury, North Carolina may experience a shortage of bottled
water this weekend.
That's where a truck carrying a load of Seltzer water and sodas was headed
when it ran off of Interstate 81 and overturned in Wythe County this morning.
One southbound lane was closed for most of the day.
The driver was treated for minor injuries and released.

Frank Miriello has been named the 29th head football coach at Washington
