The Henry County teen accused of murdering a teenage girl faced a judge this
morning.

Jean, 16-year old Tommy Helms of the Bassett area has been charged with
first degree murder in the shooting death of 15-year old Lavina Scales.
And according to police testimony, this was not Helms' first serious
offense.
Infact, they say he was on a major crime spree.

The medical examiner say Scales was shot eight times in the head with two
different hand guns.
Investigators say after an intense investigation, 16- year old Tommy Helms

But they say he was not only wanted in this homicide, but three additional
armed robberies.

Elderly men and women who are as much as 20 pounds overweight may be
healthier than their thinner counterparts.
Health risks begin to rise for elderly people who are 50 to 75 pounds
overweight
The study from St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York, suggests older
people who are only moderately overweight might be dieting needlessly.
Still, critics caution the findings could be distorted-- because by age 70,
many of the heaviest people may have already died.
