A massive secret right under our noses-- or at least under a resort.
The rumors about a nuclear bomb shelter at The Greenbrier are true.
Today, for the first time, reporters were allowed in the bunker, and Scott
Prince has more.

(( The Greenbrier Resort has been a staple of hotel excellence for the past
200 years.
But over the past 4 decades, it's been buried in a bed of secrets-- top
secrets to be exact.
Thirty- seven years ago, underneath the Greenbrier, this nuclear fallout
shelter was built.
It was designed to protect top federal officials, like members of Congress.
And even though there's been speculation that the facility existed, federal
officials were able to keep a low profile.

A telecommunications studio, decontamination areas, and dormitories make up
just a small portion of this 112- thousand square foot bunker.
But back in July, the government abandoned the shelter and ownership was
handed over to the resort.
Since then there's been debate over what to do with it.
Many say it should be turned into a museum.
Others think it should become a casino.
But Greenbrier officials aren't saying a word.
For right now, they're satisfied in knowing the U-S Government would have
had a place to operate in the event of a nuclear attack.
Scott Prince, News 7, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.))
They're even more satisfied in knowing they never had to use it.
