Virginia Tech has placed its search for a new Dean of the College of Education on hold pending some possible streamlining moves.
President Paul Torgersen is meeting with faculty to outline the considerations tomorrow.
University spokesman Dave Nutter says any changes would be administrative, and would NOT affect programs or faculty positions.
Nutter says its possible the programs could be offered through a SCHOOL, rather than COLLEGE of Education when interim Dean Wayne Worner retires at the end of the year.
That would eliminate the need for a dean and administrative staff.
