Two explosions ripped through a building that housed American and Saudi Arabian military personnel early this morning in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At least six people were killed, five of them Americans. 60 others were injured.
A spokesman for the U-S Embassy in Riyadh said a car bomb, or natural gas may have caused the blasts.
Sources told The Associated Press a bomb was believed to have been placed in a Chevrolet Caprice Classic.
This is the first known attack against a U.S. military installation or unit in Saudi Arabia since the Gulf War in 1991.

Israeli warplanes pounded radical Palestinian guerrilla targets in the hills near Beirut today.
Witnesses say the jets fired about two dozen rockets in at least ten runs 13 miles south of Beirut.
This is where the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) has posted.
The Damascus-based group opposes the PLO- Israeli peace deal and its fighters sometimes attack Israeli troops occupying parts of south Lebanon.
There was no immediate report of casualties in the air attacks.

Israeli troops have withdrawn from a key West Bank town almost a week ahead of schedule.

This comes a week earlier than stipulated under Israel's accord with the P-L-O.
The accelerated withdrawal was ordered as a sign of Israel's commitment to the peace process.

An Appomattox man is dead after he fell OUT of his pickup truck.
Police say 31-year-old David Ray Maddox was driving south on Route 29 in Amherst County last night when one of the doors of his truck swung OPEN.
Maddox and one of his passengers fell out.
The truck ran off the road, and hit a cable box.
Maddox died at the scene.
