details coming in weather.
Don't go away. The news is next.
Three people with ties to southwest Virginia are among the casualties from
Monday's attack in Saudi Arabia.
A total of five Americans were killed and dozens wounded when a bomb hit a
U-S military building.
Thirty- one- year old Alaric Brozovsky of Santa Clara, California was working
as a service auditor.
He was killed instantly in the bomb blast.
His brother Paul lives in Blacksburg.
And former Galax school board member W-L Combs, Junior was also killed.
He was working as a civilian purchasing agent.
His wife Georgetta was seriously injured and remains hospitilized.
U-S officials today acknowledged there had been threats against Americans
prior to the bombing.
In April and June the U-S embassy recived faxes from Islamic fundamentalists
calling for the removal of American military people by July.
The faxes were not taken seriously because they could not be traced.

Sheriff's officials now identify the alleged gunman as a senior
at the school, Jamie Rouse. They say his girlfriend was his target,
but a cousin says others got in the way.
The shooting erupted this morning at Richland High School as
students were eating breakfast. Teachers wrestled the gunman to the
ground and seized a small-caliber rifle.

Barringer was pronounced dead on arrival at Lynchburg General Hospital.
The 45 students on the bus were NOT injured.
