A total of five Americans were killed and dozens wounded when a bomb hit a
U-S military building.
Thirty- one- year old Alaric Brozovsky of Santa Clara, California was working
as a service auditor.
He was killed instantly in the bomb blast.

And former Galax school board member W-L Combs, Junior was also killed.
He was working as a civilian purchasing agent.
His wife Georgetta was seriously injured and remains hospitilized.
U-S officials today acknowledged there had been threats against Americans
prior to the bombing.
In April and June the U-S embassy recived faxes from Islamic fundamentalists
calling for the removal of American military people by July.
The faxes were not taken seriously because they could not be traced.

The count stands at one dead, two wounded in a high school shooting in
Lynnville, Tennessee.
Officials say a business teacher was killed and a science
teacher and a student were wounded. The student is in critical
condition.
Sheriff's officials now identify the alleged gunman as a senior
at the school, Jamie Rouse. They say his girlfriend was his target,
but a cousin says others got in the way.
The shooting erupted this morning at Richland High School as
students were eating breakfast. Teachers wrestled the gunman to the
ground and seized a small-caliber rifle.

Police say a pair of brothers are wanted for the murder of 25-year-old Orbin
Smith.
Smith was shot to death in his home following an armed robbery last month.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department is looking for 24- year-old Michael
Ward and 18- year- old Harden Ward.
Both are from Prince George County, Maryland.
In addition to Smith's murder, the two are wanted in connection with an
armed robbery at a Henry County apartment house.
Investigators say the two targeted homes they believed were involved in drug
activity.

children was found GUILTY this morning of failure to the yield the right of
way.

The October 19th accident killed 12- year old Jamie Renee Earles and her 10-
year old brother, James.

The children were passengers in a car driven by Norma Jean Daniel.
Police charged the 18- year old with pulling into the path of a dump truck.
The children's family has lobbied and even been arrested for protesting at
the site of the accident.
Since then, the Virginia Department of Transportation has placed larger stop
signs at intersection of Elizabeth Street and Route 265.
V-DOT has also installed a 45- mile per hour advisory speed sign for
motorists on Route 265 approaching the intersection.

afternoon.

At about 3:15, the driver of a mini- van lost control of the vehicle on
Route 24, and slid into a schoolbus.
State police say 33- year- old Laura Glass Barringer apparently braked for
the bus's red lights when she veered into the other lane.
Barringer was pronounced dead on arrival at Lynchburg General Hospital.
The 45 students on the bus were NOT injured.
About an hour later, state police were called to the scene of another fatal
crash on Leesville Road.
58- year- old Jessie Crawford was killed when he lost control of his truck
and crashed in a ditch.
