Metzger did admit to irreconcilable differences with other parole board members, and to offending two female members with an "off-color" joke.
His resignation came-- just hours after an Administration audit was made public and turned over to State Police.

Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency were in Blairs today to give residents a first hand look at the CLEANED UP First Piedmont Rock Quarry.
The four- acre site was used as a quarry until 1970, when it was turned into an industrial landfill.
It wasn't until the landfill caught fire that the EPA got involved.
Officials were concerned about arsenic and lead contamination.
As part of the clean-up, the EPA threw items out including tires and drums.
