Public Safety Secretary Jerry Kilgore tells NEWS-7 that he'll release some
details of an internal audit into the conduct of the entire board today.

warrants to arrest parolees for parole violations AFTER their parole periods
have expired.
But a source within the Administration says other allegations specifically
about Metzger include sexual and racial harassment directed at other parole

paper mill.
A C-S-X freight train was headed east when it collided with this four- door
Chevrolet, pushing it several hundred yards down the track.
Police say the driver of the car was nowhere to be found when they arrived
on the scene.
The car is owned by the National Car Rental agency.

However, she doesn't realize she is half vampire.

teachers deal with the trauma.

The man in charge of the state's parole system may face CRIMINAL charges
for alleged misconduct.

The Governor appointed former Roanoke U-S Marshall John Metzger to head his
tough NEW parole board in February of 1994.
Public Safety Secretary Jerry Kilgore tells NEWS-7 that he will release some
details of an internal audit of the conduct of the ENTIRE board today.

The most serious of those allegations involves the possible back-dating of
warrants to arrest parolees for parole violations AFTER their parole periods
have expired.
But a source within the Administration says other allegations specifically
about Metzger include sexual and racial harassment directed at other parole
board members.

Secretary Kilgore says he WILL make recommendations to the Governor about
the audit today.
Even after parole was abolished in January, the parole board STILL handles

A train collided with a car near Big Island last night, but NO one was
injured.

It happened at about 11:30, near the main entrance to the Georgia Pacific
paper mill.
A C-S-X freight train was headed EAST when it collided with this four- door
Chevrolet, pushing it several HUNDRED yards down the track.
Police say the driver of the car was NOWHERE to be found when they arrived
at the crash.
The car is owned by the National Car Rental agency.
