The prosecution asked the court to delay the trial of two Roanoke Sheriff's deputies charged with the sexual assault of a Roanoke woman.
Special Prosecutor Bob Bushnell told the court this morning that the alleged victim is expecting twins and she believes one of the accused is the father.

Ronlyn Eaton claims the two deputies, David Keith Bell and Larry Dean Neighbors, sexually assaulted her after she asked them for a ride home from a bar.
The two were in court this morning for a preliminary hearing.
Their attorneys wanted the prosecution to disclose Eaton's sexual history.

Officials had planned to celebrate the start of construction on Monday, but because of the budget impasse, Congressman Bob Goodlatte will be unable to attend.
Explore Director Rupert Cutler says he expects to reschedule the ceremony for a day in early December.

But John Metzger says he did not commit a crime.

Some of the city's grade schoolers presented about 1-thousand handmade ornaments to adorn the tree, including a 6 foot red bow.
The tree is from northeastern California and will make stops in Utah, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Maryland before it arrives in the nation's capitol for a tree lighting ceremony on December 13th.

The Consumer Product Safety Commisison has issued a recall for children's bed rails made by the company "Safety First."
The company says it's receved more than 50 reports of children getting hurt when they fell out of bed because the supports on the Model 177 rail separated.
It's offering to replace the questionable rails with a newer model.
The government says more than 191-thousand of the problem rails were sold nationwide between January 19-94 and June 19-95.
