The car hit an embankment and flipped.
Dooley was thrown from his car.
He died at the scene.

The company's management walked away from contract talks with their union.
A Federal Express Officials says operations ran normally today and customers
should expect on-time delivery of packages.
The pilots had been negotiating for their first contract with the company
since the union won certification in 19-93.
The major items of discussion are salary, vacation time, changes in work
rules and company profit sharing.
The Memphis, Tennessee, based company delivers an estimated 2 point 4
million items each working day.

A University of Virginia football player has been arrested for driving under
Danville police say Rafael Garcia was arrested early Thursday morning.
He is a native of Barcelona, Spain, who came to Danville as an exchange
The 21-year-old junior is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Danville's
General District Court.
Earlier this week, he was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's best kicker.

called for jury duty depend largely on where you live in the commonwealth.

called to duty.
In the Hampton Roads region, Norfolk has the most juries per capita,
although the number is only about half as many as Richmond.

The Giles Spartans have captured the Division Two Region C football
championship beating Lebanon this afternoon 35 to 14.

The Roanoke Express won their third straight game in a shootout this time
on the road at South Carolina.
The game was tied 2 to 2 at the end of regulation and Roanoke won it 3 to

Nearly three decades ago, Roanoke educators tried to reach a group of
students with innovative methods.
Today the students and teachers involved in the project gathered to remember
Raleigh Court Elementary's sixth grade class of 19-69 met in the cafeteria
The braces are gone and so is a little hair off the top, but they all seemed
to agree the feelings of friendship are still there.
Back in '69 overcrowding prompted school officials to turn a storage room
into a classroom.
The class had only 16 members.
There were no desks.
The students sat around tables.
