Police believe a man found dead Saturday in his pickup truck in Rockingham County, North Carolina, may have been shot in Henry County.
Henry County police say 33- year- old Richard Powell of Eden, North Carolina was last seen with another man in the Sandy Level area about 3 o'clock Saturday morning.
Powell's body was found Saturday afternoon in his truck parked along route 7-70 in Rockingham County.
Police believe Powell and his friend were shot as they fled the neighborhood.
They do not know who Powell's friend is, or exactly where the shooting happened.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff's office.

Meantime police in Amherst County are turning to the public in the investigation of another homicide.
The body of 25-year old Robin Jeantte Burge was found Wednesday.
Now investigators want to talk with anyone who might have seen the victim on Thursday, November 16th.

There is no word yet on the condition of a five- year- old boy who was injured yesterday in a parade accident in Rocky Mount.
Authorities say he fell off a hay wagon in a Christmas Parade, and was then struck by the vehicle.
It happened at about 4-30.
The child was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital and later flown to Roanoke Memorial.

Fire investigators believe a late night Roanoke fire was arson.

The flames apparently spread from the back of the home into the attic.
No one was in the building when firefighters arrived, but authorities are describing the blaze as suspicious.
None of the firefighters was injured.

Organizers say The Festival of Trees reflects community spirit in the business community.
This year the annual competition is on the 21st floor of the First Union Tower.

University of Virginia place kicker Rafael Garcia is to be arraigned this morning on a charge of driving under the influence.

Over the Holiday weekend a record number of skiers visited the Snowshoe Mountain Resort.
The resort has recorded over 11-thousand 500 skier-visits since Thursday.
That's a 72 percent increase over their previous record set in 19-81.
Snowshoe has received over 50 inches of natural snow this month, compared to three inches last November.
