signing of the dayton accord in paris scheduled for mid december. if all goes
as scheduled, the administration hopes the troops will be out of bosnia by
december 1996.
making the peace keepers job even tougher, the serbs have already made it known
they do not support the agreement's separation of the city of sarajevo. over

Police say an argument is the apparent motive behind a fatal shooting in
Halifax County.
Authorities say 21- year old (DAY-MON) Damon Lamont Crews was shot and
killed last night with a handgun.
Halifax County authorities arrested 18- year old Tywan Otey Brown at the
scene.
The murder happened behind the Village Apartments in the Sinai
(Sigh-NEE-eye) section of the county.

Henry County police are also investigating a fatal shooting.
33- year- old Richard Powell was found shot to death Saturday afternoon in
his pickup truck in Rockingham County, North Carolina.
Investigators say Powell was LAST seen with another man in the Sandy Level
area of Henry County Saturday morning.
The Sandy Level neighborhood is KNOWN for its drug activity.
Police believe Powell and his friend were shot at as they fled the
neighborhood.
Powell was a resident of Eden, North Carolina.
Police do not know who Powell's friend is.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff's office.

The suspect in the death of a California model, Linda Sobek, is set to be
arraigned today.
Photographer Charles Rathbun told authorities he accidentally hit
Sobek with his truck during a photo shoot.
But yesterday's autopsy results contradict that claim.

A pit bull has been quarantined to its owner's home after attacking a
three-year-old Roanoke boy.
Justin Loving suffered puncture wounds to his face and neck in the Saturday
night attack.
His mother says she wants the dog destroyed.
David Lang, the dog's owner, says the dog was chained up when the attack
occurred, and that he had warned the boy to stay away from the dog while he was
feeding her.
Police say Lang has no license or vaccination record for the animal.

victim of an apparent movie copycat attack.
Officials say yesterday two men squirted a flammable liquid into a token
booth and then ignited it.
The incident is a virtual replay of scenes from the new feature film ``Money

50 year old harry kaufman was inside the booth eating a hamburger at about
1:40 Sunday morning when two young men approached his booth at the kingston and
throop avenue station in bed-sty.

Kaufman fled the booth and stumbled up onto the street screaming for help.
Kaufman was rushed to the burn center at new york hospital in critical
condition. Mayor Giuliani spent much of the morning there - consoling
Kaufman's wife and son.
This attack closely resembles a scene out of the new movie "the money train"
- which stars woody harrelson and wesley snipes working as transit cops in the
new york city subway system.
RUDOLPH GIULIANI: LAST NIGHT WITHIN AN HOUR OR TWO OF THE INCIDENT PEOPLE WERE
CALLING AND SAYING THAT THIS SOUNDS A GREAT DEAL LIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE
MOVIE.
After a similar token booth fire attack in 1988 - the mta spent millions
trying to fireproof the booths with a hi-tech sensor system called halon.
That system failed to activate during this attack...possibly because the sensor
was covered.
Transit officials say clerks sometimes cover up the sensors so they
can smoke in the booth without setting off the system.

a boating accident that killed her husband and two children.
