In Colorado the speed limit will increase to 75 in some places.
Montana drivers will have no speed limit during the day.
The law also ends a mandate that states require motorcyclists to wear helmets.

To racing. The Charlotte Motor Speedway announced today that the Sportsman racing division will be replaced at his track next year.

His decision stems from the three racing fatalities in 6 years at Charlotte, in the Sportsman division.
Russell Phillips was killed at the track almost two months ago in this accident.
Wheeler will replace the Sportsman races with two events for ARCA cars in 1996.

Outfielder Albert Belle of the Cleveland Indians was convicted today of reckless operation of a motor vehicle on private property. Belle pled no contest to chasing teenagers who had ``egged'' his home on Halloween. Belle's car ended up on a neighbor's lawn. The Indians' slugger was fined one-hundred dollars.
