They were searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Nationsbank on
Boonsboro Road in Lynchburg this afternoon.

Police say he did not brandish a weapon, and witnesses say the suspect fled
on foot towards old Boonsboro Road where another suspect and a getaway car

police officers and scent dogs have spent the past two hours searching the area
for any sign of the man.

embezzlement.

60- year- old Elizabeth C. Tucker was arrested last August after 28 years on
the job as a deputy clerk.
Tucker admits to embezzling more than four thousand dollars over a five year
period... the money came from marriage license and filing fees that were
usually paid in cash.
Special prosecutor David Grimes says Tucker stole the money to support her
habit of playing Bingo and the state lottery.
She'll be sentenced next year.

The terms of the settlement are not being disclosed, with the exception of
Sheppard's public apology.
Sheppard stated in her apology that she found a document in her newspaper
box claiming Vlahos had tested H-I-V positive at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
She says she made copies and distributed them at her place of employment.
Sheppard apologized for any inconvenience or embarrassment her actions
caused the dentist.
