In Pulaski County this morning mother nature's glaze plagued Interstate 81.
The snow fell quicker than it could be cleared-- forcing cars into ditches.
Even tow trucks had trouble pulling vehicles back onto the highway.
At times the interstate resembled a parking lot as wrecked vehicles blocked the highway.
State police say the main roads were back to normal late this morning, fortunately there were no major injuries or accidents.

The white stuff proved to be just a minor inconvenience for travelers in central Virginia this morning.
Area police say a few minor accidents slowed traffic on Routes 460 and 29, but the roads were in good shape by the morning rush hour.
Secondary streets like Wards Ferry Road in Lynchburg were a problem though... a city bus skidded on the snow- packed pavement and slid into a ditch.
Traffic was blocked for more than an hour as crews worked to pull the bus out.
And a truck driver suffered minor injuries when his vehicle jackknifed on Dillard Road in Madison Heights.
State police say 44- year- old Anthony Bolen had swerved to avoid another car when his truck ran off the road.
