A day after Western Virginia was socked by several inches of snow, V-Dot
officials warn motorists to take it slow this morning, because with all the
melting yesterday and refreezing overnight, there are a lot of icy patches out
there.
A Greenbrier County man was killed yesterday after his van slid on an icy
section of Interstate 64 and hit a tractor-trailer near Lewisburg, West
Virginia.
Police say 76-year-old Clarence Allen lost control of the van as it slid on
the ice, and it went over the median and hit the rig head-on.
