A domestic call early yesterday afternoon led to several anxious moments in Franklin County last night.
The Sheriff's department apprehended a man who was allegedly firing an assault rifle in the woods.
No one was injured in the incident.

Meantime, a weekend jail break in Lynchburg has been resolved.
Police re-captured the two men Saturday night, just hours after their escape.
John Davis and Delmer Ray Salyer (SAUL-yer) were apprehended yesterday morning.

They escapees found on Old Forest Road near a convenience store.
Saturday night a guard discovered the two men missing at head count.
They got away by going over the back wall.
Davis is in jail on drug charges.
Salyer (SAUL-yer) is serving time for violating probation.

A manslaughter charge has been added to a string of driving offenses facing a New York man.
21-year old Dale Provost was arrested last week in Wythe County that ended in a collision with a tractor-trailer.
Authorities added the manslaughter charge yesterday.
That's when Provost's passenger, 17-year-old Jamie Clay of New York, died at of injuries from the crash.
