Wet pavement may have contributed to an accident that killed a 16 year old girl-
It happened on route 221 in Floyd County at about 3:45 this afternoon.
Police say the Chevy S-10 pickup truck was north on 221 when the driver lost control of the truck, it crossed the road, and overturned.
A passenger, 16 year old Jamie Beckner of Copper Hill was killed-
She was prounounced dead at the scene.

Police in Rowland say they caught the 19- year old breaking into a motel room there around 7:30 this morning.

Many of the children receiving chemotherapy had previously sent Christmas bags to the Express and the players returned the gesture by spending some time with the youngsters.

Sears say a computer glitch caused them to send the Baltimore woman 110- of the "out of stock dolls."
The Holiday Barbie is considered the hottest Christmas gift this year.
In fact when word got out the post office had a hundred of them, phones started ringing as collectors and frustrated mothers tried to buy the dolls.
They weren't for sale though. Vaughn proved honest and arranged to send the dolls back. (----------------)
