The chief prosecutor in Roanoke County is pushing to have a Glenvar High School tried as an adult in a manslaughter case.
The boy is accused of killing a school teacher in a high- speed, drunk- driving accident last week.

The 16-year old suspect struck and killed 45- year old Bonnie Kitts Thursday evening as she and her husband were walking along the street in their Woodbridge neighborhood.
The boy is currently set for trial in Juvenile court in early January.

The Juvenile Court judge will then decide whether to send the case to Circuit Court.

72 year old Clark Aubrey Adkins was reported missing December 13th.
Police found his body lying near his abandoned car in the (CAL-inds) Callands area of the county Sunday night.
Murder warrants have been sworn out for 19 year old Paul Dalton in connection with Adkins' death.
Authorities will not say why they suspect Dalton, except that they believe the two men knew each other.

People spending the holidays on the Blue Ridge Parkway will soon be feeling the affects of the shutdown.
The Peaks of Otter Lodge resort will close starting tomorrow because of the shutdown.
That'll force hundreds of holiday vacationers to change their plans.
It also means most of the staff will be off the job.
They won't get back pay either. Even though the Lodge is on federal land, it's privately operated.

Authorities were searching for a black male wearing a blue jacket.

Two divers also searched the water.
Police are not sure if they will resume the search today.

40- year- old Brenda Ann Davis was killed in the blaze back in May.

One person testified Mahoney was fighting with another man in front of the victim's home-- and afterward, Mahoney yelled as he ran down the street.

Since last Friday J-93 radio D-J Slam Duncan and Marine Staff Sergent Steve Gardner lived in this trailer 93-feet in the air as part of the Marine's Toys for Tots campaign.
Their goal was to raise 93 bicycles, but they far exceeded that goal by several hundred for a grand total of 500 bikes.
Duncan spoke with his grandmother on the air and told her she was his inspiration.
