She says the board needs to look out for taxpayers as the county embarks on projects like the new courthouse and regional jail. ((THERE'S SOME THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO CONSIDER AND WE HAVE TO CONSIDER WHERE THAT MONEY'S GOING TO COME FROM AND HOW WE'RE GOING TO EFFECTIVELY UTILIZE THE MONEY THAT WE HAVE. ))
Aside from her on- air job, Buchanan is also active with local schools and the P-T-A.
And now that she's training for her supervisor's duties-- she still manages as a single mother to care for her two children, Bryan and Brittany.
A busy schedule, Buchanan says, is what she thrives on. ((I DON'T THINK I'D BE HAPPY IF I WASN'T BUSY BECAUSE THAT'S PART OF MY MAKEUP. I LIKE TO STAY BUSY AND I LIKE TO STAY ACTIVE. SO, I REALLY DON'T SEE THAT THAT WOULD BE A BIG PROBLEM THEN. ))
And she'll get the chance to prove it when she starts her term next month.
