It's the second time in two months that hunters have found a body in the
woods of Amherst County.
Now the Sheriff's Department there says there may be a connection between
the body of an apparent murder victim found yesterday and one found last month.

An investigator from the department says the Lynchburg woman was identified
through her fingerprints.
An autopsy will be performed this morning.

the Galt's Mill area, which is less than five miles from where the Carter's
body was found.
No one has been arrested in the Burge case.

An accident in Montgomery County involving a tractor trailor has left one
person dead and two others injured.

State police say 59- year- old Rupert Guy Marshall was traveling on
Interstate 81 when he attempted to move his vehilce into the right lane.
According to witnesses, Marshall tried to swerve back left to avoid hitting
an Oldsmobile.
The truck jackknifed, it's trailer rear-ended the car, and both vehicles
lost control and ran off the road.
Marshall was thrown from his rig and died at the scene.
The victims in the car are in stable condition.

The state's former parole board chairman is cleared of criminal charges in
a state police investigaiton.
While the investigation found he broke parole board policy it concluded his

unusual holiday decoration at the Rockbridge County Courthouse.

Despite nationwide publicity, no one has been able to explain the
significance of the 53 toothbrushes.
They mysteriously appeared just before Christmas.
The courthouse left the toothbrushes in the ground for a week as a sort of
holiday observance.
On Tuesday, they were pulled up.
The courthouse is saving them, and might put them out again next year.
