A Danville teenager is dead following a single vehicle accident on New Year's Day.
Police say 19-year-old Rodney Wayne Adams was driving along Route 640 in Pittsylvania County, when he lost control on a curve, ran off the road and struck some trees.
Adams died at the scene.

Investigators say the shooting was sparked by a dispute between the 15- year- old and his 19- year- old gilfriend outside the home.
A sheriff's investigator says the step-father got involved when the teen went inside and grabbed a 22- caliber rifle.
Authorities say the two struggled before 30 -year old James Nelson Marshall, Junior was shot in the chest.
The teen is also charged with another shooting.
