A 15- year old Henry County teen charged with killing his stepfather has
been released to his mother's custody.

The shooting happened Sunday night at the victim's home in Fieldale.
Authorities say the teen and his stepfather were struggling over a 22-
caliber rifle when the weapon discharged.
According to investigators, 30- year old James Nelson Marshall, Junior was

The young man was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device while at
home and undergo counseling.

and assault. Hoskins allegedly broke into Madonna's Hollywood Hills estate
three times. The last time in May he was shot by one of Madonna's security
guards. Hoskins allegedly attacked the guard and told him he would slit
Madonna's throat.

That testimony came from the preliminary hearing. There were no cameras
allowed in the courtroom this time for the trial. Madonna was the first
witness. She testified she was sick to her stomach at being in
the same room as Hoskins. She said Hoskins threatened her with a crazed look
in her eye once while she rode a bicycle one morning. Hoskin's attorney said
they don't have a case.

Madonna apparently did not want to come to court. Her attorney said she
was even willing to drop the charges. But the prosecution wanted Madonna's
testimony to bolster its case, so a judge threatened her with a five million
dollar arrest warrant if she failed to show for court again. To protect the
star Madonna's attorney Nick Dewitt had asked the court
to allow Madonna to testify on videotape or with Hoskins outside the courtroom.
The motion was denied.

They've discovered a powerful appetite suppressor in the brains of rats.
Glucagon (GLOO'-kuh-gon) -like peptide one is present in the brains of all
mammals.
Doctors say the suppressant curtails the appetites in rats by making them
feel full.
In one experiment, test rats given the substance reduced their food intake
by 95 percent.
It is believed the G-L-P ONE would mostly likely do the same for humans.
However it could be as long as two years before human tests of the substance
can be done.

In the second half, Anthony Walker dishes inside to Eric Bowens who
scores the bucket for 2 of his team high 17.
4 minutes into the second half Scott Edgar and his Dukes were down 42-34.
Jason Landsdown was also in double digits. He takes the pass from Marquiz
Williamson and snaps the nylon from the corner. he had 16.
Duquesne got a pep talk and made a late run.

Gale-Dominos Classic tonight by beating Gettysburg 89-to-65 at the Bast Center.

Proceeds from this event go to benefit cancer research, and area basketball
fans need to get out and do a better job of supporting it than they did
tonight.
Roanoke got plenty of support from a number of players as Jason Bishop takes
the ball coast to coast, pulls up beyond the three point arc and drills the
shot to get Roanoke rolling.
Bishop would continue his hot play as he drives in for an easy layup and the
Maroons start to pull away.
The visitors Terry Schofield, would try his best to keep the game from
getting out of hand with the lob pass to Richard Rothenberg, who scores 2 on
the alleyoop.

But Roanoke was too much tonight as Derek Bryant drills the three pointer and

actually a 30 year named Ron Weaver, who had already played 6 years of college
ball.
