((The draft memo by former White House Chief of Administration David Watkins contains the most direct allegations ever about the First Lady's role in the firing of the White House Travel office employees.
Watkins says that Mrs. Clinton was told by her friend, Hollywood Producer Harry Thomasson who was interested in learning how to bid on travel office business, that the office was improperly funnelling business to a single charter company.
The memo says that the late white house counsel Vince Foster became involved, and he and Harry Thomasson regularly informed me (Watkins) of (Mrs. Clinton's) her attention to the travel office situation as well as her insistence that the situation be resolved immediately by replacing the travel office staff.

Watkins also refers throughout the memo to an issue involving the secret service. Sources say the first lady was apparently very unhappy about handling of agents she believed were spreading false rumors about the Clintons.
The Watkins memo written, but never sent to former White House Chief of Staff Mac Macmaclarty says:

We both knew there would be hell to pay if, after our failure in the secret service situation earlier, we failed to take swift and decisive action in conformity with the first lady's wishes.

White House aides point out that Watkins drafted this memo after he was reprimanded for his firing of 7 travel office employees and that he later resigned after using White House helicopters to visit a golf course. The White House categorically denies Mrs. Clinton ordered the firings.
MIKE FABIANO/SPECIAL COUNSEL TO THE WHITE HOUSE: SHE SAID IF PEOPLE ARE SQUANDERING MONEY, STEALING MONEY WE CAN'T HAVE THAT. THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE DEALT WITH THAT IN THE WAY THEY THOUGHT BEST.
