His lawyers argued his confession was tainted because he did not get a lawyer before he was questioned.

Police say Correll kidnapped Bousman from Roanoke, choked him until he passed out, stuffed him into the trunk of a car and drove him to Smith Mountain Lake.
There, police say Correll stabbed him to death.
