Roanoke police are looking for a teenager who hijacked a city school bus
this morning.
No one was hurt, but the teen allegedly pulled a 12 inch hunting knife on
the driver and forced her to take him to Salem.

The incident began shortly after eight at the intersection of Cove Road
and Florida Avenue, when the bus pulled up to a stop sign.
The driver, Terri Labiosa (La-biosa) had dropped off a busload of students
at Westside Elementary School, but she and her nine year- old daughter endured
an anxious ride into the the city of Salem.

Police are looking for a black male about fifteen years old, who is five
feet seven inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was wearing a ski cap

Heights man this morning.

The Medical Examiner says 18-year old Grayson Hooper of Salem died of
atrial (Mix-oma) myxoma- meaning a tumor on his heart was blocking the flow of
blood.

minutes after a short run around the school's indoor track.
Hooper had complained of not feeling well.

Memorial services for Grayson Hooper are planned for this Friday.

meant new hope for many people.
He was a tissue donor-- a form of donation that can help up to 125 people.

embezzlement charges.
State police say Joseph Wayne Mundy worked as an independent insurance agent
in the Henry County area.

Real estate developer Sam Griffith was 38.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death-- but the

In 1992, Sam Griffith pleaded no contest to charges of beating his wife
and allegedly causing her to have a miscarriage.

an all-state selection as a receiver this year, decided last night to attend
VMI and try to make his mark as a kicker.

Nabisco is getting ready to give its best selling Oreo cookie a facelift.
From 1912 to today, the basic cookie formula has stayed the same.
The package hasn't seen a makeover in 40 years, but that's about to change.
Anyday now a new look Oreo will hit store shelves.
Nabisco says the new package will be brighter, more fun, and in tune with the
90's.
Just for the record, it takes 90 minutes to make an Oreo, but Americans are
apparently willing to wait. According to the company Oreos are in nine out of
10 home in the country.
