People trapped in the 145-unit apartment complex--got out any way they could.
Entire families waited in windows to be rescued by firefighters. Children

continued. This amateur video shows one firefighter crawling down a hallway on
his hands and knees checking for survivors.
Bystanders pitched in. Calvin Cunningham who lives near the cottage grove
