for the country- What he called the age of possiblity.
THE ERA OF BIG GOVERNMENT IS OVER. BUT WE CANNOT GO BACK TO THE
TIME WHEN OUR CITIZENS WERE LEFT TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES. SELF
RELIANCE AND TEAMWORK ARE NOT OPPOSING VIRTUES, WE MUST HAVE BOTH.
Extending a concilitory hand to Rrepublicans, the President
tackled the hot topic of the Balanced Budget agreeing it could
be done in seven years, but under only certain circumstances.
THESE CUTS DO NOT UNDERMINE OUR OBLIGATIONS TO OUR PARENTS, OUR
CHILDREN AND OUR FUTURE BY ENDANGERING MEDICARE, MEDICAID, EDUCATION OR THE

It the balanced budget that Senator Bob Dole talked about, in the Republican
response.
The President laid out what is certain to be the framework for his 96
Re-Election message in a seven point agenda. He talked about strengthening
family, education, fighting crime, gangs and drugs.
One topic not mentioned, the Whitewater cloud.. but there were warm words for
