the property owner should be cited for failing to install smoke detectors in
the home on Stewart Avenue.

Floodwaters have shut down a popular tourist and recreation spot in Giles
County until further notice.

Most of the lower trail at the Cascades Recreation Area in the Jefferson
National Forest was damaged last week when Little Stoney Creek raged out of its
banks.
Two Foot-bridges were completely wiped out, and a third was damaged.
Officials say parts of the trail may be repaired, but much of it will have
to be REBUILT.
The work could take as much as 300 thousand dollars, but because of budget
cuts, there won't be nearly enough money to do it all this year.
