An F-14 fighter jet has crashed into a residential area in Nashville,
Tennessee.
Eyewitnesses say two houses caught fire when the plane crashed and erupted
into a huge fireball.
There is no word yet on casualties, but ambulances have been seen leaving
the crash site.

Authorities say a Franklin County man was stabbed to death following an
argument with a friend early yesterday morning on Route 40 in Rocky Mount.
21-year-old Barry Morton Dudley is charged with the fatal stabbing of
27-year-old Kenneth Russell Moore.
The fight allegedly started at a local restaurant in Franklin County where
both men were arguing.
Sheriff's officials say the incident then carried over to Moore's home where
he was stabbed once in the chest.
He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and died yesterday morning.
Dudley is being held at the Franklin County jail.

Danville police are searching for a 16- year- old boy who is suspected of
fatally shooting another 16- year- old.

Authorities have identified the victim as Tony Spraggins of 2-29 Shamlock
Drive.
He was apparently shot twice with a nine millimeter pistol.

Throughout the tense standoff, a total of four shots rang out from 111
Woodrum Avenue, the home of Marvin Donald Kirk, Junior and his wife Lisa Kirk.
Police say Don Kirk flew into a rage when officers arrived to serve him
with two misdemeanor warrants.
Lisa Kirk had secured a warrant against her husband for assault and battery.
Another woman had charged him with curse and abuse.
suThe standoff began around 7:40p.m. Police say two officers were escorting
Kirk's wife away from the house. They made it as far as the front porch when
Kirk allegedly fired one round from his rifle.

response team, the Giles County Sheriff's Department and Pearisburg police
waited, and negotiated with Kirk over the phone.
Police said he was extremely agitated, and fired his weapon three more
times.
Officers never returned his fire, and no one was hurt during the ordeal.

a factory waiting to apply for jobs.
Police say the trouble began when some men tried to cut into the front of
the line.
When the job seekers protested the men, armed with assault weapons, opened

NATO soldiers today are trying to recover the bodies of three British
soldiers killed by a land mine near Sarajevo.
But the work is slow going, soldiers are having to watch for other mines in
the area.
The three men died yesterday when their vehicle rolled over a mine in an
area that was considered mine-free.
There are an estimated six million land mines strewn across Bosnia.
Only 30 percent of them are marked.
