One person was shot and another assaulted late last night in Pittsylvania County.
Investigators are still questioning witnesses, but so far tend to believe the incidents ARE related.

They're not sure where the other crime occurred.
But officials say there's a good chance the incidents ARE connected since they both happened at about 10-15 in the same area of the County.

One was hospitalized and the other was treated and released.
No arrests have been made.

The Sheriff's Department says the incident then carried over to a trailer park in Franklin County where Moore was stabbed once in the chest by Dudley with a large knife.
Moore died at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Sunday morning.

Authorities are charging his girlfriend, Mary Mitchell with the murder.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at the Patrick Henry Apartments on Booker Road.
Police say Mitchell admitted to stabbing Lee in the chest-- but she said it was an act of self- defense.

A Bedford County jury has convicted Joe Bolling of murdering his girlfriend and has recommended he spend thirty years in prison.

One person was shot and another assaulted late last night in Pittsylvania County.
Investigators are still questioning witnesses, but so far tend to believe the incidents ARE related.

Authorities believe one of the incidents occurred on State road 9-69, near Callands.
They're not sure where the other crime occurred.
But officials say there's a good chance the incidents ARE connected since they both happened at about 10-15 in the same area of the County.
Few details on the incident have been released but authorities do say one the victims was apparently shot in the head.
One was hospitalized and the other was treated and released.
No arrests have been made.
