Investigators are slowly piecing together the events surrounding a shooting
last night in Pittsylvania County.

The incident happened on state road 969 in Callands shortly after ten
o'clock.
Authorities say Keith Harris was shot once in the lower abdomen.
He's hospitalized, in stable condition.
Investigators believe Harris was involved in a fight when he was shot.
Carl McKinley was beaten in the head during the incident.
He was released from a Danville hospital.
Investigators do not have a motive, and they say neither man is talking.

His squadron has been grounded while the Navy continues to investigate.

and a half miles from Nashville international airport.
The impact of the F-14 left little but the foundations of two homes... two
others were destroyed by the subsequent fire.
Pieces of the fighter jet littered the area...scott sulfridge found

An elderly couple and another person at the house hit directly by the
jet are among the dead. the pilot and co-pilot of the f-14 tomcat were killed
instantly.

The pilot was attached to the vf-213...a squadron based at miramar
naval air station near san diego. that squadron has been involved in four

The crew was on a routine training mission...the pilot of the jet was
