A Roanoke man will spend thirty years locked up for setting a house fire last year that killed a woman.

The fire on May 13th killed 40-year-old Brenda Davis.

Raymond Mahoney had argued earlier that night with Davis and got into a fight with her brother.
He was sentenced yesterday to 20 years for first-degree murder and ten years for arson.

Also in court yesterday -- Paul David Thompson was sentenced to TWO life terms plus 25 years in prison for FIRST degree murder and robbery of Virgie Green.

The Twenty-six-year-old pleaded guilty to the murder last month.
Green's beaten body was found stuffed in the trunk of her car at her home in November 19-94.
Thompson also was sentenced to life with no parole in West Virginia for another murder.
And he was given a 12 year prison term for the attempted murder and carjacking of a Florida man.
