But, for some, the uniqueness begins to dim when the trees start to sag-- snapping power lines.
So far, in Danville downed power lines have left a few hundred people without power.
In Halifax County, the damage hasn't been as severe.

Throughout the day, temperatures have been falling.
That's what has some folks concerned.
