million-dollar cocaine ring involving a Washington and Lee Employee.
Researcher Kurt Russ is charged with conspiring to distribute cocaine along

(( Kurt Russ has been an Archeological Researcher at Washington and Lee since
1984.
He has supervised several digs throughout the county.
However, police say from 1990 to 1994 Russ worked with a maintenance worker
and an Alumnus in distributing cocaine throughout Rockbridge County.
Their main supplier, a drug dealer from Miami, was tricked by local
undercover officers to come to Lexington where he was arrested.
