on on charges conspiring to distribute cocaine.
The Rockbridge County Regional Drug Task Force confirmed researcher Kurt C.
Russ was in a ring that stretched form Miami to Lexington.

Police indicted 17 people who had their hands in distributing more than one

The victims are four children and three adults.

Police say the father had fled the fire with burned hands and forehead.
He'd been arrested several months ago and booked for investigation of child
abuse.

67 year old Betty Blackburn Campbell died in this three car crash on Wards
Road January 4th.
Authorities say 19 year old Andrew Lewis Viar ran a red light and plowed
into Campbell's vehicle, pushing it into a tractor trailer.
Viar was arrested yesterday and charged with involuntary manslaughter.
He was released on his own recognizance.
No court date has been set.

A judge in Brazil says Michael Jackson's planned video could jeopardize
tourism.
The judge issued a restraining order barring Jackson from filming in one
of the slums of Rio de Janeiro for 20 days.
He says suspending the filming is neccessary so the King of Pop can better

traffickers.
The state governor opposes the video, while the city's mayor and

police officers.

Sam Sakellaris, Junior alleges he was cursed and beaten by two Danville
Police officers, while the third encouraged what was going on.

Officer L-M Adkins arrested Sakellaris during a routine traffic stop two
years ago.
All charges against Sakellaris were later dropped.
But Sakellaris maintains certain officers have continued to harass him.
