Kurt Russ has been an Archeological Researcher at Washington and Lee since
1984.
He has supervised several digs throughout the county.
Police say from 1990 to 1994 Russ worked with maintenance worker Thomas
Davis and an Alumnus in North Carolina in distributing cocaine throughout
Rockbridge County.
Their main supplier was a drug dealer in Miami.

to forward and get the cocaine to the streets... and after fours years more
than one million dollars worth of cocaine made its way to Rockbridge County.
Eleven of 17- suspects accused in the drug ring have been arrested--the

Police say 19- year- old Andrew Lewis Viar ran a red light at the
intersection of Wards Road and Harvard Street the afternoon of January 4th.
Viar's truck crashed into a car driven by 67- year- old Betty Blackburn
Campbell.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested Viar yesterday, then released him on his own
recognizance.

cold temperatures and a blaze that gutted a mobile home near Evington.

Authorities say the left side of the trailer was engulfed in flames when the
first crews arrived.

Odell Hodge did his best to keep the Monarchs in this one with the nice move

But the Cavaliers would blow it wide open over the next 11 minutes of the
first half.

It's a 14-to-nothing run and Uva leads 28-to-12.
The Cavs lead 41-to-17 at halftime and cruised in the final 20 minutes to
