Also in Halifax County this morning, a routine traffic stop by police led to a high speed chase that left two officers injured.
The car chase started in the Centerville area of the County when a deputy attempted to pull over 21-year-old John L. Spell who they say was driving erratically.
Police say the chase ended when Spell's vehicle lost control and wrecked causing the deputy and a trooper to also crash.
