A Martinsville teacher who allegedly took indecent liberties with a former female student had the chance to retire BEFORE the charge was presented to a grand jury.
But prosecutors say 59- year old Anna Corbin did not follow through with the arrangement.
Corbin was a fifth grade teacher at Albert Harris Elementary school for 33- years.

Commonwealth's Attorney Randy Smith says he wanted to indict in November, but held off until February.

She was still employed as a teacher when the indictment was handed up this week.
