She had been out with friends the night before, and according to police members of the fraternities reported seeing her at their parties.

Besides the university suspensions, both fraternities' national offices have suspended their Radford charters.
To now, fraternities had policed themselves.

Jurors will hear opening statements today in the case of a man charged with killing two receptionists at Boston-area abortion clinics.

John Salvi is also charged with wounding five other people at the clinics on December 30th, 19-94.
Jurors did some work yesterday, in advance of opening statements.
They toured the Brookline clinics where the shootings occurred, spending about 15 minutes in each place.

It's been ONE week since the Craig County School Board called for the resignation of their superintendent.
Their action stemmed from a fuel leak at the high school in January.
Last night, parents PACKED a board meeting to address the issue, but they found their efforts were LIMITED.

There was definitely something different about this Craig County School Budget meeting.
Compared to others, the turnout was doubled, and members of the Sheriff's Department were on hand to make sure things didn't get out of control.
Here's why.
Last week, the school board asked Superintendent Dallas Helems to hand in his resignation.
He has refused to do so.
This time around residents were given an opportunity to talk about the situation... but only as it pertained to the budget.

59- year old Anna Corbin was indicted Monday on charges she took indecent liberties with a female student 18 years ago.

The alleged victim is now 29.
She says the abuse dates back to 1978-- when she was 11.

(Pie Kappa Fi and Kie-Fi) Pi Kappa Phi and Chi Phi allegedly violated alcohol guidelines at two parties.

Police say 18- year- old Valerie Cole is believed to have attended the fraternities' parties Friday night.

She died in her sleep sometime Saturday morning.
The fraternities' national offices have also suspended their Radford charters.
Authorities could not say whether Cole consumed any alcohol at either party.
They're waiting for blood tests to determine whether alcohol was a factor in her death.
